My family and I have always been animal lovers and we have always had more than one dog at a time. After I semi-retired from my career as a classical pianist and instructor, I wanted to do something that I would enjoy doing and be good at.

My husband also retired from his long career as a professor at the university near where we live.  We both have many different interests but we have always agreed that loving our pets is a very high priority.

One day I saw a beautiful white small puppy and I didn't know what breed of dog it was...

The more I learned about this breed, the more I fell in love.  I knew in my heart that this breed is the one that I have always been looking for.

It didn't take long for us to own our first Coton de Tulear and I coudn't have been happier to have her with us.  I still remember when I first met her at the airport.  I saw a little fluffy white ball inside a sherpa bag, staring at me and wagging her little tail, as if she were trying to tell me "Hello, Mommy, we will be very happy together."

Soon, I became addicted to this wonderful breed and I know I will never find any other dog who will capture my heart this way.

She got along with everybody, especially with our gentle Austrailian Shepherd who loved her very much and wanted to act like her personal bodyguard.

Not surprisingly, I soon became addicted to her beauty, charm and wonderful personality.  She is a perfect small companion dog.  I knew that she was not going to be our last Coton.  Soon, our Coton family began to grow.  Everyone in my family is extremely happy with these jewels from Madagascar.

You see, the truth is that you will only get to find out when you meet, feel, and are loved by this wonderful breed of dog.  Only then will you realize truly what I've been trying to tell you about living with this wonderful, amazing Coton de Tulear.
